Time and memory, both quite ungraspable concepts although a lot of people seem to have trouble letting them go.

Clinging to the past is usually seen as an annoying and unnecessary habit, yet without the past there wouldn’t be a present or future. Should we then feel grateful for the memories we have, both good and bad? Maybe.

Since time is not something one can hold in ones hand but memories could make you feel you can sometimes.

By writing short texts or making drawings of recollections from my personal past I investigate upon this subject. When I’ve provided myself with a certain amount of material I try to organise them within a space. A balanced composition consisting of a variety of memories ultimately forms a new world best described as a spatial drawing.
